Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
Combine wet and dry ingredients, stir just until mixed. The dough should be slightly sticky.
Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 10 minutes to relax the gluten.
Lightly flour your surface and hands. Roll dough to ½-inch thickness.
Cut small circles using a 1-inch cutter or shot glass. Re-roll scraps to use all the dough.
Preheat air fryer to 350°F. Lightly spray basket with oil.
Place donut bites in basket, spaced apart. Lightly spray tops.
Air fry for 4–5 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
For frying: Heat 2 inches of oil to 350°F in a pot.
Fry 4–5 bites at a time for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden. Drain on paper towels.
While still warm, coat bites in cinnamon sugar or dip in glaze.
Serve fresh for best taste and texture.
