Ingredients
Fresh Strawberry Syrup Base

Hulled and sliced

Sweet Tea Foundation

Instructions
Simmer the strawberries, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat until the berries are soft and syrupy, about 10–15 minutes.
Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl or pitcher. Discard solids and let the syrup cool.
In a separate container, steep tea bags in boiling water for 5–10 minutes depending on desired strength.
Add ¾ cup sugar and baking soda to hot tea. Stir until dissolved.
Remove tea bags and let the sweetened tea cool slightly.
Pour the cooled strawberry syrup into the tea and mix well.
Add cold water and stir to combine.
Refrigerate the tea for at least 2 hours until thoroughly chilled.
Serve over ice with fresh strawberry slices and mint sprigs if desired.
