Ingredients

Caramel Base

Hot Chocolate Base

  • 4 cups whole milk for hot chocolate
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder for hot chocolate
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips for hot chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar for hot chocolate
  • 1 pinch salt for hot chocolate

Toppings

Instructions

  • Heat sugar in saucepan until amber; whisk in butter and cream; add vanilla and salt.
  • Heat milk; whisk in cocoa; add chocolate chips and brown sugar; pinch of salt.
  • Stir caramel into hot chocolate base; adjust sweetness.
  • Pour into mugs; top with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, sea salt, marshmallows.
