Ingredients

For the Meatballs

  • pounds Ground beef 80/20 blend works best
  • ½ cup Breadcrumbs Panko or regular
  • 1 large Egg Beaten
  • 1 medium Onion Finely diced, divided
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For cooking

For the Gravy

  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 8 ounces Mushrooms Sliced
  • ¼ cup Diced onion Reserved from earlier
  • 3 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce Optional, for deeper color
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • Fresh parsley For garnish

Instructions

  • Mix all meatball ingredients and form into balls.
  • Brown meatballs in skillet until golden on all sides.
  • Remove meatballs and make gravy in same pan.
  • Add meatballs back, simmer until cooked through.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve over mashed potatoes.
