Ingredients

For Chai Concentrate

  • 2 cups Water Filtered for best flavor
  • 4 bags Black tea Ceylon or Assam recommended
  • 1 stick Cinnamon Or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 pods Cardamom Lightly crushed
  • 6 whole Cloves Optional for extra spice
  • 1 inch Fresh ginger Sliced
  • ¼ teaspoon Black peppercorns Adds warmth
  • 2-3 tablespoon Honey or maple syrup Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract For depth of flavor

For Each Dirty Chai Tea Latte

  • ½ cup Chai tea concentrate Prepared from above
  • ½ cup Milk of choice Whole oat, or almond milk work well
  • 1 shot Espresso Or ¼ cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 pinch Ground cinnamon Optional for garnish

Instructions

  • Simmer water and chai spices for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, add tea bags, and steep for 3-5 minutes.
  • Stir in sweetener and vanilla, then strain concentrate.
  • Brew a shot of espresso or strong coffee.
  • Heat milk until steaming but not boiling.
  • Froth milk using a whisk or frother.
  • Pour chai concentrate and espresso into a mug.
  • Add steamed milk, top with foam, and garnish with cinnamon.
