Instructions

  • Gather and measure all ingredients. Sift cocoa powder if necessary.
  • In a saucepan, combine rice, milk, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  • Reduce heat to low, cook for 20–25 minutes, stirring often, until rice is tender.
  • Remove cinnamon stick. Stir in sugar, salt, cocoa powder until smooth.
  • Stir in chocolate chips until melted and uniform.
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and heavy cream.
  • Let cool slightly before serving warm or refrigerate until chilled.
