Ingredients

For the Danish Rolls

  • 2 tubes refrigerated crescent roll dough 8 oz each
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg yolk

For the Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoon whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Add-ins

  • 2 tablespoon fruit preserves strawberry or blueberry
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoon sliced almonds

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth.
  • Unroll the crescent dough, fill each section with the cream cheese mixture, and seal the edges.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cool for 5 minutes on a wire rack.
  • Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make glaze. Drizzle over the cooled rolls.
