Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb penne pasta
  • 1 whole rotisserie chicken shredded
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 tablespoon butter

For the Creamy Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • – Cook pasta in salted water until al dente.
  • – Add broccoli in the last 3 minutes of pasta boiling time. Drain.
  • – In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil and butter.
  • – Stir in cream and broth; simmer gently.
  • – Remove from heat and whisk in Parmesan and mozzarella.
  • – Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • – Toss in cooked pasta, broccoli, and shredded chicken. Add pasta water if needed.
  • – Stir in a knob of cold butter before serving for silky texture.
