Instructions
Bring salted water to a boil, cook pasta until al dente, and add broccoli in the last few minutes. Reserve pasta water before draining.
Sauté garlic in olive oil, add butter and flour, then slowly pour in milk and cream. Stir in the cheeses and simmer until thickened.
Add the cooked pasta and broccoli to the sauce and toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the sauce consistency.
Serve the pasta with extra Parmesan, fresh herbs, and a sprinkle of lemon zest if desired.
