Ingredients

Main Batter

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Topping

  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and prepare loaf pan.
  • Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Whisk butter, milk, egg, and vanilla in another bowl.
  • Fold wet into dry until just combined.
  • Pour batter into pan, brush with butter, sprinkle cinnamon sugar.
  • Bake 45–50 minutes until golden and toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to rack.
