Ingredients

The Cookie Dough:

  • cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract

The Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
  • Mix dry ingredients: Whisk flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.

Cream wet ingredients:

  • Beat butter and both sugars until fluffy
  • Add eggs one at a time
  • Mix in vanilla

Combine:

  • Add dry ingredients to wet
  • Mix until just combined

Make coating:

  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in small bowl

Shape & coat:

  • Roll dough into 1½-inch balls
  • Roll in cinnamon sugar

Bake:

  • Space cookies 2 inches apart
  • Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are set
  • Centers will look soft

Cool:

  • Rest 5 minutes on baking sheet
  • Transfer to wire rack

Notes
