Ingredients

Base Layer

  • 2 cans (15 oz) Chili con carne Homemade or store-bought
  • 1 bag (32 oz) Frozen tater tots Use directly from freezer
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar recommended
  • 1 cup Sour cream Adds creaminess
  • 0.5 cup Diced onions Optional

Optional Toppings

  • Sliced green onions For color
  • Jalapeño slices For extra heat
  • Extra shredded cheese Optional topping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease dish.
  • Mix chili and sour cream, spread in dish.
  • Add cheddar and onions on top.
  • Arrange frozen tots evenly.
  • Bake 35–40 minutes until golden.
  • Add remaining cheese, bake 5 min.
  • Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
