Ingredients

Pizza Dough

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water About 110°F
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Toppings

  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella Low-moisture preferred
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil For brushing crust edges
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • fresh basil leaves For garnish
  • ricotta cheese Optional; small dots for extra creaminess

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until combined, then knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll dough into a 12-inch circle and place on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough. Sprinkle mozzarella, parmesan, and cheddar cheeses on top. Add oregano and garlic powder.
  • Brush the crust edges with olive oil. Bake for 15 minutes until golden and bubbly. Garnish with fresh basil and optional ricotta.
