Ingredients

French rolls or hoagie buns

  • 3–4 lb Beef chuck roast Well-marbled for tenderness
  • 2 packets (1 oz each) Au jus gravy mix Use onion soup mix for extra depth if desired
  • 8–10 French rolls or hoagie buns Crusty outside, soft inside

Instructions

  • Place beef chuck roast in slow cooker. Sprinkle au jus mix on top. Add 1 cup water around edges.

  • Toast rolls under broiler until lightly golden.
